This guide covers how to add rafters, move and equalise rafters, add vents, edit vents, change the ridge length, height and pitch, and add a cut-out.

Editing Rafters
- To edit the rafter spacings, first select a slope you want to edit the rafters on and then click "edit rafters".
- In this box that appears, you can manually change the spacing of these rafters or click equalise at the bottom to automatically equalise the spacing between the rafters.
- To add or remove rafters click "divisions". In the division's editor, you can either enter the spacing between the bars in the "Spacing Between Bars" box and the number of bars will be automatically selected, or you can change the number of divisions in the "number of divisions" box and the spacing will be automatically selected.
- Lastly, to copy the number of bars and spacing across a ridge or hip, select the slope you want to edit, then click "align bars" then select either ridge or hip.
- The bars are now aligned across the ridge.
Editing Roof Vents
- To add a roof vent, select the area between the 2 rafters you want the vent to be added in. Then click "vents" and "add vent".
- To change a vent, select "Vents" > "Change Vent", in the menu that opens you can change the vent size, drop, glazing type and other specifications.
Ridge and Pitch
- To edit the ridge/wall-plate length, select the ridge and double click on the annotated length, then type in your desired length.
- To edit the pitch of a slope on a design, double click on the annotated pitch of a design, it will then open the menu shown in the image below.
- To change the pitch of the slope type in a new pitch in the "Pitch" field, then select one of the 3 options below. "Raise all ridges" will increase/decrease the height of the ridge/wallplate to accommodate the new pitch. "Move ridge position" will move the position of the ridge to accommodate the new pitch.
Cut-outs
- To add a cut-out to a slope, first, select a roof panel on the slope you wish to add the cut-out.
- Then go to "cut-outs" and then select which corner of the wall you wish to add the cut-out to, to decide whether it is left-corner or right-corner, imagine you are stood outside the design looking at the wall you are adding the cut-out too. To add a cut-out to the back wall on the left side I am choosing "left-corner".
- In the next window, choose the width, depth and box-gutter size.
- If you would like to edit the cut-out or box gutter size, simply select the cut-out, then go to "Cut-outs" > "Edit Cut-out"
